Hello world!

Welcome to Autiism.com, my name is Sarah!

As a parent, I know firsthand how much of a journey raising a child with autism can be. I also know every child has their own unique strengths, and my goal is to help you find ways to nurture those talents, while recognizing the very real challenges that may accompany those talents. Here we celebrate every success, no matter how big or small.

Through this blog, we will share ideas for fun, skill-building activities, ways to create sensory-friendly environments, and thoughts on how to approach learning in a way that works for your child. Whether it is through hands-on projects, play-based learning, or simply finding ways to create joy in everyday tasks, autism.casa is here to offer ideas, inspiration, and a positive perspective.

Though my own child is a big part of why I started this blog, I will keep his journey private. What I will share are the insights I have gained along the way and ideas that can help other parents and caregivers, like you, find what works best for their child. The goal is to create a space where we focus on building skills, fostering independence, and celebrating growth — without getting stuck on limitations.

So if it’s just “me” why do I keep saying “we”?

If you are reading this, you likely have an interest in autism on your own. Whether you are an autistic individual, a parent of a child with autism, an autism professional, or someone who knows somebody with a keen interest on the topic, I hope you will consider joining me here in writing a guest blog. Please use the comment section below to reach out and I will arrange a way for us to chat further about your contribution to the blog. (PS- I do not make any money off of this blog. In fact it costs me to upkeep it.)

Thank you for joining me here at autiism.com. I am excited to share this journey with you.
